The word bambalina, used in the theater, comes from the verb bambolear, an onomatopoeia of the sound made by percussion instruments , plus the diminutive "ina".

A backstage is a theatrical stage decoration, consisting of a strip of canvas (or wallpaper) with an approximate width of one and a half meters, which appears, on top or hanging from the curtain, which is a piece of smooth cloth or stamped, which serves to open or close the scene; of which it is a part.

The purpose of the backstage, in addition to embellishing the frame where the scene will open, is to hide some elements typical of the lighting and the props of the set, which thus appear concealed.

The first of the wings that we see hanging from the proscenium (the place closest to the public) is the widest, and regulates or modifies the height of the stage.

Side curtains are also used (on each side of the stage) that create some spaces away from the viewer's view, and that shrink the scene. They are generally black.

The expression "behind the scenes" or "behind the scenes" refers to what happens behind the scenes, without the spectators noticing it, with the stage director and operators located there. In that space, the actors also wait for their turn to appear on stage. These spaces are known as "legs", which are a kind of paths through which the actors move in and out, without being seen by the public.

Among those "paths" there are usually dressing rooms, where the actors and actresses make quick costume changes. From this phrase, and by extension, "behind the scenes" is applied to all news that comes to our knowledge , indirectly or confidentially, for example: "I learned, behind the scenes, that the director of the school will resign his position , but I cannot reveal the source of the information ”.

In Christmas decorations, some bright and colorful tree decorations, generally round, which mean abundance , and a praise to nature , symbolizing apples hanging from the oak tree, are known as scenes.

In the Cinema, "Natalie Wood: Behind the Scenes" is an American film, from the year 2020, belonging to the biographical documentary genre, about the life of the actress, directed by Laurent Bouzereau.

Bamboo concept

Bamboo

The word bambolla, arises from onomatopoeia , and designates a bubble or bulging thing, which in Dermatology appears as a synonym for a blister, which is an inflammation of the epidermis, either when someone scrapes it, for example by some shoe; it becomes irritated, for example by rubbing against a garment or by sweating; freezes or burns in some part of the body, generally hands and feet, or several; or by allergic reactions. Some illnesses, such as chickenpox, can also be causes of bumps. Given this, an organic defense reaction is produced, with the purpose of protecting the internal integumentary tissue. The skin appears raised, it is visible and palpable, because lymphatic fluid accumulates inside.

The bambollas or blisters have a diameter greater than 0.5 centimeters, since if they are smaller they are called vesicles. If they are located below the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the epidermis, they are called subcorneal; while if they are under the dermis, which in turn is under the epidermis, they are subcutaneous. The blisters should not be punctured or broken, unless it is done by the doctor, since they reabsorb on their own, after a few days. If the presence of pus is noticed, or it hurts, is red or the patient has a fever, the doctor should be consulted.

It can also be anything else in the form of a bundle, that has little value, for example: "This ornament is a bambolla, too big, graceless and ordinary" or "This ring that they gave me is a bambolla, uncomfortable to wear because of its great size, but without any elegance”.

When someone flaunts wealth, power, virtues or abilities that they do not have, they are said to be a bambolla: "Everything the politician says about himself is a bambolla, in his previous management he completely demonstrated his ineptitude", "There is too much bambolla in this party, but I think that although everything is abundant, the quality is very bad" or "They made a huge mess with the defensive and attacking capacity of the team, and ended up losing the championship, in a shameful way."

"La bambolla de Julia" is a dramatic play, which was staged under the direction of Aina Gimeno, in Valencia, and is about a girl, Julia, who suffers bullying, and therefore hides in a bubble of silence, from which art will help her out.

bamboo concept

The word bamboo came to us from the Malay language, where the term was "mambu" and in the 16th century the Portuguese, with the name of bamboo, brought this plant to their country and to Spain.

Although for a long time it was believed to be a tree, it is a plant, scientifically called "bambusoidae" with some herbaceous species and other woody ones. Except in the European continent and in Antarctica, where it has been imported; It grows naturally in the rest of the planet, especially in India, South America and Africa, in its southern part.

It is a grass, like wheat, corn, oats or rice, having the woody, cane-like stems, flexible but hard and resistant, which are used, especially in Asia, to build houses and make furniture, oars and paper. , producing its knots, a type of sugar. Its tender shoots are edible after boiling, which removes the bitter taste, providing the body with fiber and potassium.

Bamboos also serve as ornament in pots and in gardens. They can reach a height of more than twenty meters, and their stems have a diameter of thirty centimeters. Its leaves are differentiated by their location , since those on the stem are brown and those on the branches are green. They rarely flower, and if they do, after about eighty years, they put the plant at risk, since they consume many of its resources. They need soils with good irrigation and drainage, and with organic substances. They are susceptible to attack by pests, such as aphids or red spider mites.

Just as there are giant bamboos, they can also be small plants, which are less than a meter tall, and their stems barely half a centimeter.

Stoliniferous bamboo develops by means of long, thin rhizomes, joined by culms (stolons). These very strong rhizomes can reach very deep and far, causing the shoots to spread quite a distance, so it can be invasive if not contained with a rhizome blocker.

The crepitus bamboo does not form runners, but the rhizomes are thick and short and therefore it is not invasive.

In Music there is a rock band from the Philippines called "Bambú". It was founded in 2003 by Bambú Mañalac, artistic name of Lupe Gaudencio Francisco Belardo Mañalac.
