Banality is an abstract noun that derives from the banal, an adjective that qualifies the everyday, what is not out of the ordinary, and for this reason it is vulgar and hardly interesting . It is a term that originated in medieval French, where "ban" designated everything related to the fief, either because it corresponded to the feudal lord or to the group of members of the manor, such as mills, forges or ovens. These banalities, however necessary for the exploitation of the land and agricultural production , were paid in kind for their use, with what was obtained from the work, for example, part of the harvest or flour was delivered.
However, banality is something subjective and deserves to be appreciated from the particular characteristics of each case. Playing can be a banality for an adult who habitually does it, subtracting a lot of time from his obligations From him; but for a child, especially the youngest, dedicating many hours of their days to the game is absolutely necessary for their good physical and mental development .
Carrying out banal activities is also important for adults, even if it is for a while a day or on vacation, because our minds must relax from being busy all the time with deep things that often stress us. Hanna Arendt (1906-1975) was the author of a book entitled "Eichmann in Jerusalem" which has the subtitle "A report on the banality of evil." Eichmann was a genocide who was sentenced to hang, and the author considered, in a highly controversial opinion, that these crimes were not the product of a monstrous soul, but of giving little importance to his acts of cruelty that helped him rise in the regime Nazi, whose rules he did not analyze in depth and abided by with extreme obedience .

Bananas belong to the same family as plantains and these two fruits are often referred to as if they were the same. However there are some differences, as plantains taste sweeter, are wetter, shorter and arched. The plantain surpasses the banana in the amount of potassium; although the banana has more calcium and starch. India, China, the Philippines, Ecuador, Brazil and Colombia are major exporters of bananas.
They can be eaten raw, being highly appreciated at all ages, and most children love them. They can also be used in cakes, ice creams, desserts and fruit salads. Bananas help improve mood, contain vitamin B6, counteract the effect of salt, because they contain potassium, and prevent cancer.
Bananas are associated with the food of monkeys, and this is so, since it was the food that was formerly given to them in zoos, but it is not the one they consume the most in their natural environment, which is much more varied.
"Bananas in Pyjamas" is a children's television program , created by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, in 1992, based on the 1967 song of the same name, written by Carey Blyton, which used to be animated by two bananas, wearing blue and white striped pajamas, chasing two bears. The program was renewed in 2011 and its protagonists are two anthropomorphic bananas.
In the Cinema, "Bananas" is the title in Spanish , of an American film directed by Woody Allen in 1971. It is a comedy, which is a political satirical of Latin American revolutions, such as the case of the Cuban Revolution .
In Argentina, the expression "banana" is also used to refer to someone who is presumed to be ingenious and fashionable.
"Banana country" is a pejorative expression that is applied to those insecure, corrupt states with political and economic instability , basing their wealth on primary production , represented in this case, by bananas.
Bed concept
A terrace, a word that perhaps comes from the Hispanic Arabic, "manqála", is a human construction , which allows terraced cultivation, supported by a wall or slope, in rugged areas, with a steep slope, which does not exceed 45%, at fill in the land and remain horizontal, taking advantage of that space, which without this work, could not be productive, which is necessary in places with few lands suitable for agriculture and demographic expansion .
The terraced can be done by herbaceous slopes; or by staggering, which is used in mountainous areas, where irregular steps are created; or be circular, where they are built, on the hills, with masonry , walls in a semicircle format.
The origin of the terraces can be located in pre-Columbian Peru, where the Incas used the terrace system to cultivate on the slopes of the mountains, since they only had very narrow valleys for their plantations. They are still known in that region, as platforms, used by the Huari State, since the 6th century. The stone walls and the filling of the steps were improved by the Incas in the 15th century, also using them to contain mountain erosion. Those of Andamarco, those of the Colca Valley, and those of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, are worth mentioning.

They were widely used in Spain, especially at the end of the modern age and the beginning of the Contemporary Age , in the Valencian Community and in the Region of Murcia, although currently many have been abandoned. On the island of Majorca, with uneven relief, especially to the northwest, in the Sierra de Tramuntana, there were many, but they have diminished, since traditional agriculture is not currently practiced. In the Canary Islands, volcanic stone rocks have been placed, in layers, to form walls, constituting what they call "chains" that go from the highest areas, where cereal cultivation predominates, to the coasts, where there are crops tropical.
In Asia, terraced terraces are common in China, Japan, Indonesia and Vietnam for growing rice, which is also a great tourist attraction .
This denomination is also used for rectangular spaces of land where vegetables and fruit trees are planted.
In gardens, balconies and terraces, raised terraces are used, approximately 1.20 m. high, made of wood or sheet metal, with a wire mesh base, filled with earth with a substrate rich in organic substances. Those made of cement cannot be moved. They allow not having to lean for cultivation.
Another meaning is to refer to the sand that accumulates on the seashore due to the action of the wind.
In Botany, the bancal is a tree, typical of the Philippines, made of very resistant wood.
