Decay is the result of the verb to decay, from the Latin "decades", a word integrated by the prefix "de" which in this case alludes to something that takes a downward direction; and by the verb “·cadere” in the sense of “to fall”. Decay, then, is the condition of something that is falling, diminishing, weak, and lacking in energy.

One of them is the physical and mental state of a person or of certain higher animals, such as dogs, cats or horses. The symptoms of decay are lack of strength, apathy, general weakness, lack of vigor and discouragement. This may be due to physical and/or psychological problems: "The child is very weak, it would be convenient to see if he is not feverish, since he doesn't even want to play and spends all day in bed", "My dog is weak, he doesn't he is motivated not even by a walk since my father died, he misses him a lot” or “I have a lot of sadness and depression since I lost my job”.
The causes of decay as we see can be many. If there is no recent disturbing fact that justifies it (being in mourning or another stressful situation , for example, the loss of a job; or a diagnosis of a mental problem) we must think about a physical condition that is causing it: anemia, hypothyroidism , some virus, sedentary lifestyle, long periods of insomnia, lack of vitamins or minerals, among other causes that must be discovered with the help of the doctor.
Another of the contexts in which the decline is used is with respect to the facts, when they lose strength or importance : "There has been a decline in the labor market due to the economic crisis and people are not getting a job", "The decline of Real estate sales slowed down with the new line of credit, which enables access to housing” or “The illiteracy rate has fallen due to the social inclusion policy”.
A special case is the decay undergone by a radioactive substance (radioactive decay). It is a process that makes an unstable nucleus more stable, releasing energy.

The word decency, from the Latin "decentia" is an abstract noun , originating from the Latin "decens" with the meaning of adequate or appropriate. Whoever generally commits moral offenses, or crimes, does something reprehensible, and therefore indecent, such as killing, stealing, lying or cheating.
Decency is a human value, which is closely linked to what society perceives as dignified and correct, and therefore can vary from one culture to another, for example, in the West it is not decent for a man to have several wives, but in others, such as Senegal, a man can decently and legally have up to four wives.
